Declarative Push on Web

Push technology is an essential component of modern WWW applications. With the ability of sending relevant information to users in reaction to new events, enables highly interactive applications on WWW. What has been present in desktop applications for decades is only now coming online. Actually, the push is usually emulated using the pull technology, since, with the HTTP protocol alone, it is not possible to make a real push. A declarative approach widely used on WWW has not yet adopted for the push methods. In this paper are reviewed four declarative methods for the push-update on WWW. The methods are defined by combining existing and upcoming Web technologies. The scope of this paper is a targeting the update and modifying the document on client-side.
